Refugee and host communities in Baalbek (Lebanon) now have secure access to improved WASH services and improved quality of life. This project started on August 2019 and prolonged till end of June 2021.
This was ensured through increasing the availability of sufficient water supplies to vulnerable communities through the construction of a sustainable water resource (a 500 cubic meter water reservoir) which now benefits about 5,800 households.
The 500 cubic meter water reservoir was completed by ADRA on July 2020, and UNICEF in coordination with the Bekaa Water Establishment started the water connection work on December 2020.
ADRA Lebanon in partnership with ADRA Slovakia installed an electrical station to operate the well where works started on 10 May 2021 then executed and tested on 17 May 2021.
