As part of the GROW project (Generating Resilience for Opportunities and Grow), funded by ADRA Australia, ADRA Lebanon is developing a vocational training program focused on building essential computer skills for youth.
GROW aims to strengthen the resilience, employability, and long-term wellbeing of vulnerable school-aged children and young people by strengthening access to inclusive, quality education and market-relevant vocational training.
With a focus on local youth from low-income or displaced families, the project targets schools that do not offer computer classes. Through this initiative, participants will gain practical skills aligned with today’s job market, increasing their chances of accessing decent employment. In addition, the program will support successful participants in identifying and pursuing job opportunities.
Beyond computer training, GROW will also offer capacity-building opportunities in areas such as robotics, mobile phone repair, and solar maintenance. Additional technical courses will be introduced based on the interests and needs expressed by participants.
Retention Support Project (RSP)
In Baalbek, in southern Lebanon, ADRA is implementing the RSP Education Project—an initiative under the GROW program—providing online courses in languages, mathematics, and sciences to children from families affected by the war. To support students in coping with the psychological impact of conflict, a psychosocial component has been integrated into the program.
Through GROW, ADRA Lebanon is opening new pathways for young people from underserved communities—empowering them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to build a more secure and thriving future.
