Addressing Barriers to Education for Vulnerable Children in Baalbek and Mount Lebanon

ADRA Lebanon with the support of ADRA Australia and ADRA Germany is providing remedial support to 80 non-Lebanese and Lebanese students from grades 1 to 9, who are enrolled in public schools and require assistance with their learning. This program will also support marginalized children and those with disabilities to receive comprehensive reintegration support.

Inclusion of these students in our NFE programs and related awareness campaigns in families and communities will support the marginalized children’s access to education and protection services through the coordination with Himaya, a local Child Protection organization which will conduct regular meetings with the parents/caregiver for active participation of the families and to discuss important topics: stigmatization of CWSP; Child Labor; Early Marriage; Sexual-Gender Based Violence and to produce an overall positive attitude towards Education.
