ADRA-Lebanon WASH and Environment Projects-Bekaa
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) are fundamental components of humanitarian assistance, crucial for ensuring the health, dignity, and well-being of individuals affected by emergencies such as conflicts, natural disasters, and displacement. Effective WASH interventions implemented by ADRA Lebanon played a vital role in preventing the spread of waterborne diseases, reducing mortality rates, and promoting overall public health in crisis situations through the access to clean water, provision of proper WASH facilities and promoting hygiene.
In conclusion, to ensure sustainability and because WASH services are indispensable in humanitarian emergencies, it is requiring coordinated efforts, adequate funding, and strategic planning to effectively meet the needs of affected populations and prevent further public health crises.
